Do you knit or crochet?  Would you like to help those in need?  We are looking for caring hearts and gifted hands.  Please consider donating yarn for a good cause or volunteering to knit caps for babies and people undergoing chemotherapy.  Yarn donations can be dropped off at the Library.  Stop in for more information and cap patterns.

Midwinter $5 Bag Book Sale

Purchase a bag for $5 and fill it with books!  Become a Friend of the Library and get your first bag free.  Any current Friends receive a free bag.

100 BOOK CHALLENGE
January 9 - December 17, 2012
 
Print out a log and keep track of books you read throughout the year.  Everyone who completes the challenge will be entered into a raffle at the end of the year.  Read as you normally would or use this as an opportunity to expand your horizons, challenge yourself with one or more of the following:
 
Read Best Sellers from the NY Times Bestseller list
Read 10 Classics
Read 10 Travel books
Read 10 books by New England Authors
Read 5 Inspirational books
Read 15 books by authors you have never heard of


 
A gazebo and garden are being constructed in the back of the Library with funds from the Ryan Kelly Memorial Fund.  It will be completed in September and will be a great place for outdoor programs and activities.  The gazebo is open to the public, it is even a wi-fi spot.  Donations are still being accepted to help with the landscaping and the addition of a handicap ramp.

Recycle your paper and help raise money for the Library
