Star Wars Fan Fiction Contest Winners
Here are the winning stories of our Star Wars Fan Fiction writing contest!
Laurie Leal is our grand prize winner. She took home a Boba Fett and Han Solo frozen in carbonite San Diego Comic-Con Black Series exclusive figure set. Jason Van Nurden, our runner-up, took home four Black Series Star Wars figures.
What is even more amazing, is that Laurie and Jason collaborated on their entries. Their stories overlap, making for a unique and interesting read.

Library's Fall Planting Project
Library's front gardens
Beginning with a donation from the Library Friends using funds from the annual Plant Sale we are pleased to announce the completion of the front library landscape planting project for the fall. Many volunteers made this possible and we say Thank You to them. I would especially thank the adhoc Plant Committee that drafted landscape designer Ann Penisten who contributed her time and talents to create the garden design and plant selections. She supervised our volunteers and workers quickly bring us to the completion of the project. Many thanks to Rich Moniz , Mario, and the Highway Department workers whose contributions brought us to a completed Fall finish.
Plantings will be continuing in the Spring. Plans include additions of planters filled with colorful annuals and some perennials to complete our garden makeover!
Many Thanks to ALL for your contributions.
For those interested here are the list of plants used in Ann's Design. Red leaf Maple, Dwarf Hinoke Cypress, Fothergilla gardenia, Enikianthus camponulatus, Lady fern and Epimedium with Boxwoods and Blue Hollies. More to follow in the Spring!
