Story Hour Readers Needed!
Volunteer at the Library for Story Hour!
We you like to spend a few hours at the library as a story hour volunteer? Volunteer with the library staff and assist in the planning and organizing of the story hour and crafts session. Morning and afternoon times are available. Help prepare arts and crafts materials or research books and potential media materials to use with special programs. All that is needed is a willingness to work with young children and their parents and caregivers. An interest in children’s literature is very helpful. Chess Game Volunteer Needed
Swansea Public Library Chess Club
A Volunteer is needed to teach and coach the newly forming Chess Club. This requires knowledge of the games, rules and strategies. Weekly meetings for all age groups. Contact the Youth Services Librarian at 508-674-9609 or email@example.com.
Volunteering at the Library
The trustees and staff of the Library appreciate very much the efforts of volunteers to help in providing better services to the community. Volunteers are invited to assist in the activities listed below or to suggest activities of their choosing.
Helping at fund raising events such as book sales, plant sales, raffles etc.
Beautifying of the building or grounds such as cleaning, gardening, painting etc.
Assisting the Childrens' Librarian with various types of programs.
Providing outreach to elderly or homebound patrons.
