Eyes On Owls -- Live Owls on the Lawn of the Library!

Marcia and Mark Wilson of Eyes on Owls bring this live owl program to the Swansea Free Public Library!

They will introduce the audience to the six owls of New England and share the field marks, signs and skills that can be used to find owls without disturbing them.  Everyone will participate in a hooting lesson and learn tips on how to attract and protect owls where they live.

Join teacher/musician/comedian Dave Maloof as he talks about ukulele history, types of ukuleles, chords and strums. 

Play ukulele and sing along to pop, rock-n-roll, kids' songs and more!

Join Krissy Cannizzo from the Easton Children's Museum as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 reaching the moon’s surface.   Take an out-of-this world adventure as we discover the mysteries of space and the importance of space exploration!

Alien Balloon Twisting with Ed the Wizard: Please Register

Join Ed the Wizard for a morning of fun as he teaches everyone how to create aliens with the art of balloon twisting. Learn the art of balloon twisting as you create your own space alien. 

This workshop is best for grades 1 and up, (ages 7 and up).  Although Ed will provide hands on help as needed, children must have the basic manual dexterity and be able to hold, pinch, and twist a 2 inch diameter balloon; of course, parents are always welcomed to join in, make their own, and help!  All materials are included.
